This composition requires a large amount of water since the clay must first swell. Liquid clay is an excellent hydraulic lock, not passing moisture, and sawdust, in this case, plays the role of insulation. As materials for decorating the ceiling in the bath, it is better to use natural wood with a low resin content.
If frost forms on the crate of the attic of the bathhouse in winter, it means that heat is leaking from the bathhouse in this place and it is necessary to restore thermal insulation. The place of poor insulation must be re-coated with a solution of clay and sawdust. If another material was used for waterproofing, an additional layer of the insulation used should be increased or a sticky film should be used. It is advisable to regularly check the attic in order to eliminate the destruction of thermal insulation in time.
The roof of the bath, in addition to having a reliable vapor barrier, should fit snugly against the walls. This is to prevent the injection of outside air. The joints of the roof and walls before finishing also need to be carefully lubricated with a mixture of clay and sawdust.
The bath attic should be well ventilated so that it is not warm and humid under the roof. This is achieved by the device of vents and air gaps. The skate plate or the board fixing the roof should also not impede the natural circulation of air, and the structure must allow moisture to pass under the roof. Roof gables should be made with large dormers or openings. The roof lining must also be “breathable”. The usual asbestos cement slate meets these requirements, which gives a large airflow and allows air to pass through, but it does not meet environmental criteria very well. Materials for Finishing the Bath Inside: Lining the Walls and Shelves in the Steam Room

Resin is isolated from their wood, even after thorough drying, the molten drops of which are burned and stick to the skin and which can only be removed with white spirit or turpentine.
When choosing material for finishing the bath inside, it is important to pay attention to the quality of wood. Boards should not have bluish spots and traces of mold, and should also be well dried. Initially, high-quality material for shelves, walls, and the ceiling in the bath allow you to extend the life of the interior decoration, despite the high humidity in it and temperature changes.
